WHY THIS THEME? Let’s face it, brand messaging is everywhere – from traditional ads, listicles, movies, and yes, podcasts. As someone who works in at the intersection of creative advertising and podcasts, I’m here to relieve you of any lingering apprehension towards branded podcasts you might have.

You can’t be an American politician without having a strong stance on immigration. Why? The American people care about immigration. It’s a key factor in what distinguishes political views. Wherever you fall on the political spectrum, you’re bound to have an opinion on immigration. This isn’t much of a surprise, considering this nation is built on patterns of immigration and continues to sustain itself through these patterns. Our economy, technological developments, pop culture, and our strongest institutions all have a direct relationship to the efforts of immigrants. Our relationship with other countries that determine our role as a global entity are impacted by immigration. Like it or not, immigration is hugely important.

All of these episodes unpack and breakdown the problems and needed tools that will help to resolve issues stemming from negative patterns and behaviors that aren’t helping in your present life. Current situations, including boundaries, past traumas, forgiveness, family dynamics and love life that inform our daily living are dissected and explored in each of these podcasts. Like good friends, without judgement and a whole lot of empathy, these shows aim to support their listeners as they go about their days.

The mission of More Sauce is to create and nurture a space for Black voices in podcasting to discuss everyday lifestyle topics. From helping listeners to articulate their thoughts around their mental wellness on Imani State of Mind with Dr. Imani Walker to the intergenerational perspective of topics like relationships and motherhood with media personality Porsha Williams along with mom and sister on “Porsha 4 Real,” coming later this fall.
