Good Friends are Good (Podcast) Listeners

EarBuds Podcast Collective is a listening movement. We send a weekly email that contains a theme and five podcast episodes on that theme, and each week is curated by a different person from around the world. Anyone can curate a list. We also release a weekly podcast that contains podcast recommendations.

This blog is yet another way that we like to deliver podcast recommendations to listeners everywhere. This is a guest blog post from the Raw Talk Not Food Podcast.

Raw Talk Not Food is a podcast about how two lifelong girlfriends get through living life imperfectly with love, laughter, and a whole lot of REAL talk. The list of podcast episodes chosen centralize on a theme of helping to reset old patterns and behaviors so you can navigate your life authentically.

What do these podcast recommendations have in common?

All of these episodes unpack and breakdown the problems and needed tools that will help to resolve issues stemming from negative patterns and behaviors that aren’t helping in your present life. Current situations, including boundaries, past traumas, forgiveness, family dynamics and love life that inform our daily living are dissected and explored in each of these podcasts. Like good friends, without judgement and a whole lot of empathy, these shows aim to support their listeners as they go about their days.

Let’s go!

Raw Talk Not Food - Boundaries

In this episode, the central theme is about the basis of happiness and structure in your life. If you’re dealing with outside chaos, without any boundaries, you may fall into the patterns of negative behavior inherited or projected by others. Without redefining what your boundaries are, you can’t be the most authentic and thriving person you can be.

Red Table Talk – Learning to Forgive

It takes a lot of energy to hate and to hang on to past hurts and offenses. Without releasing that weight of anger thru forgiveness, one can never be fully free to move forward and live their life progressively with happiness and joy. It does not mean to forget, rather it means to learn and retake your power from the events.

Unlocking Us w/ Brene Brown – Brene on Shame and Accountability

The difference between shame and guilt is in the ownership of wrongdoing. Shame is “I am bad”; guilt is “I am good, but I did a bad thing.” Shame separates human bonding and contact, inclusive of self. When you differentiate between shame and guilt, you can take accountability for the behavior, you lose the stigma of the shame and can work thru the behaviors and change for the better.

UnladyLike – All About Relationships

The most important relationship is with yourself. If that is not clear, then you may pick toxic partners and friends to fill avoid that you may not know exists. So, it’s important to be absolutely clear about your wants, needs and what you will accept to be healthy and happy.
