Q&A with Swiss and Lali Hijack HOLLYWOOD!'s Podcast Creator Raul Vega
RV: This story is different from my other shows which are heavily plot-driven. Because this is more of a character-driven show, (the best comedies are, I feel) I really could just let these two talk about the most random things with one another and build the plot from what escapes their mouths. It’s the really ridiculous side convos that we have with our best friends that make no sense out of context but keep us smiling throughout the day. Honestly, I just think “What’s the crazy situation we could get these two derps into?”
Recovery from Stroke and Brain Injury: How Listening to Podcasts Can Help
I remember when I first suffered my stroke and was going to physical therapy during the first month out of the hospital and the only other survivors in there were 60+ while I was the only survivor there in my 30s. The recovery journey is lonely enough as it is and even though friends and family want to help, there's no one who can understand the challenges of this journey better than another survivor. This is the story behind why I started my podcast, The NeuroNerds - to connect with other stroke and brain injury survivors.
🌈 PRIDE 🏳️🌈
Hello all you beautiful people. It’s been a while since we’ve come on here! As some of you may know, we love to celebrate special times with the only way we know how...through podcasts! Here at EarBuds, podcasts are our love language. When something is worth celebrating and honoring, we make podcast playlists. We made one for Women’s History Month (even though every month should be WHM), and Black History Month (even though every month should be BHM), one for Passover…(let’s keep Passover the way it is, we love our bread 🥖), so did you really think we’d say goodbye to June without some beautiful, fantastic, hilarious, raunchy, educational, and informative pods to celebrate the magical time that is PRIDE?! ✨
Maintenance Phase: A Different Kind of Wellness Podcast
I’m a simple woman, easily delighted by life’s quotidian pleasures. Cracking the spine of a new book, coaxing a smile from a baby, savouring the first sip of a morning coffee - all are sources of unbridled joy. But nothing, nothing delights me quite like a rigorous, evidenced-based critique of the wellness industry. Luckily for me there’s a podcast out there doing just that. Welcome to Maintenance Phase, a brilliant show debunking the pseudoscience and nonsense behind the biggest wellness trends, scams and obsessions. Each episode will leave you thinking hard, laughing harder and uncontrollably spluttering “Dr. Oz is a liar!” to strangers on the street who will either choose to ignore your existence or whisper back: “who hurt you?”.
