Podcasts Celebrating Women's History Month
March is coming to an end but it’s not goodbye, it’s see you all day, everyday.
We kicked off March, Women’s History Month, with a wonderfully curated list by Catalyst20, a weekly newsletter that curates action items and resources to help readers facilitate lasting social change.
Catalyst20’s founder, Emma, curated this list to “highlight women's stories, both past and present.” EarBuds prides itself on being female-founded, and female-run. We believe that if the world was run by women, it would be a more organized place. We wanted to follow up with our own list at the end of the month to remind ourselves, and each other, that while carving out space to celebrate a certain group of people is great, it is not enough.
Women should always be and feel worthy, supported, empowered, and enough. We curated our own list to show just that. These podcast picks delve into the many badass women of history, the myriad experiences of life as a woman, and are produced/hosted by women. As two white women, we want to acknowledge our privilege and voice how important it is to support and lift up all women, particularly women of color.
While making this list, we had hopes of choosing an even number of pods, you know for aesthetic purposes. Yet, we landed on eleven amazing options, so to justify this number, we researched “significance of the number 11” lol, and to much surprise found that the number eleven is found to be a symbol of enlightenment, intuition, enthusiasm, and creative energy. We’re into it. Not sure how a pair of double-digits can mean all of this, but it seemed too apropo to not include.
Here’s to all the ways women make our world an enlightened, creative, safe, and awesome place:
